A Minnesota lawmaker wants to ban “Bachelor” Arie Luyendyk Jr. from entering the state, according to a tweet Wednesday.
GOP state Rep. Drew Christensen took steps to craft a bill banning Luyendyk, 36, from going to Minnesota following the surprise ending on the popular reality TV show “The Bachelor,” Fox News reported.
Bachelor Nation fans were annoyed after Luyendyk proposed to “The Bachelor” winner and Minnesota native Becca Kufrin, 27, only to dump her shortly after.

Luyendyk then proposed to runner-up Lauren Burnham.
Following the controversial show ending, Christensen put together a bill to permanently ban the disgraced “Bachelor” from entering Kufrin’s home state.

“I’m a man of my word,” Christensen tweeted Wednesday night.

Christensen had previously tweeted that he would create a bill to ban Luyendyk from entering Minnesota if he got 1,000 retweets.
Minnesota residents also created billboards expressing their resentment towards Luyendyk. “Arie … Not Okay, Just Leave,” said one of the billboards.
The three-hour “Bachelor” finale ended Monday. Luyendky proposed to Kufrin at the end of the second hour. Kufrin allegedly had no idea that she would be dumped during the season’s finale.

Luckily, Kufrin will now be the “Bachelorette” that will premiere May 28, according to BuzzFeed News.
Luyendyk, previously a race car driver, has several run-ins with the law including getting arrested for driving with a suspended license in 2008, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
