Meghan Markle Proves She Can Handle Royalty after Recovering from Award Show Blunder
Anyone in the public eye needs to have a healthy dose of poise on hand. Royals, not surprisingly, need an extra helping.
Now, Meghan Markle is proving she can handle the royal life. Recently, she and Prince Harry attended a charity event, where Markle demonstrated she has the poise to rival any royal.
It happened at the Endeavor Fund Awards, which, as the Metro explains, “celebrate the achievements of wounded and sick servicemen and women.”
The event was doubly noteworthy as it was the couple’s black tie debut.
The Endeavor Fund is especially close to Prince Harry’s heart.
“The Endeavour Fund was set up by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge and Prince Harry,” notes the Metro.
During the event, Markle took center stage to announce the Celebrating Excellence Award. With her was Neil Heritage, a previous winner of the award.
Markle, wearing a chic tuxedo by Alexander McQueen, began by making some opening remarks. Heritage then took the mic to announce the nominees.
At that point, confusion set in. It quickly became apparent that Heritage did not have the papers necessary to make his announcements.
Heritage seemed flustered and began rifling through the papers. Markle, however, remained calm and assisted Heritage in his search.
The audience remained supportive throughout the awkward scene. As Markle and Heritage tried to resolve the confusion, the audience laughed and applauded reassuringly.
It wasn’t long before the correct list was located, with Markle pointing out the proper set of names.
Through it all, Markle kept a kind smile on her face, and even giggled at one point to lighten the mood.
Now, Markle is being praised for her sense of poise in what would have been for many a time of embarrassment.
More and more, Markle is proving she has what it takes to live a life in the public eye!
