Mom Finds ‘Bomb’ in Mysterious Package, Cops Smirk as They Tell Her It’s Dryer Motor

Share

Have you ever had anything scare you to the point you thought you were going to die? Would you break into full panic mode, or would you pull yourself together and jump into day-saving action?

I know when my kids get hurt or upset, somehow, I’m able to look past the blood or tears and remain calm in a situation that might otherwise have me terrified. There’s just something about a frightening situation that can send you into “parent mode.”

If you’re a parent, you know exactly what I’m talking about. One woman from San Antonio, Texas, recently received the fright of her life when a mysterious package showed up at her door.

Kyleigh McKellep Crowell lives with her husband, Connor, and their beloved pets. The wife of a military man, Kyleigh doesn’t have the luxury of calling or texting her husband at any given moment of the day or night.

When a mysterious package from Kentucky showed up at her door, Kyleigh was more than a little curious as to what could be inside. It was heavy, with no return address, and it was addressed to her husband.

In a video that immediately went viral, Kyleigh shared her experience with the world. Through crying fits of laughter, the San Antonio resident explained what she found inside the package and why it had her calling 911.

“I thought we were about to die…” she admits in between laughs. “…if you guys got a box, and this was in it, what would you think?”

Kyleigh shows the camera what the package contained — a metal contraption with duct tape and wires. I have to give her credit because I may not have jumped to her conclusion, but I certainly didn’t know what the thing was, either.

Watch as she spills the entire story. Have you ever laughed at yourself this hard?

Poor thing! Even if she did mistake a dryer motor for a bomb, she was genuinely afraid for her life — why else would she have rushed to get everyone out of the house?

I have to give her props for telling her story and having the good sense of humor to laugh at herself about it. Since the video went viral, with 6.1 million views on the original already, Kyleigh has received many hateful comments.

Some have criticized her for her naiveté. Others have simply made fun of her for not knowing what the thing was.

And Kyleigh has come back fighting in full swing. She’s put up several new videos in an attempt to set the record straight, and one post even showed her sense of humor hasn’t been squashed by internet trolls.

She even updated her original video with a lengthy caption. “…there was no manual book, nothing,” she explained. “…some people can’t just pick up their phones and call their husbands.”

Thanks for the good laugh, Kyleigh — I was dying. And to all the haters out there, why not just enjoy the humor and laugh along with another human being for a change? Not everything has to be so serious.
