Parents Share Adorable 'Rainbow Baby' Photos of Their Newborn Sextuplets

As a mother currently expecting the son I never thought I’d have, I know each child is a special blessing.

Though I’ve experienced a couple miscarriages, I know other moms who can count their pregnancy losses well into the teen numbers.

Stories which portray blessings in abundance are my favorite kind. Stories like that of the Waldrop sextuplets.

In December 2017, this beautiful family of five became a family of eleven! “God’s Divine Nine,” as they have come to be known on Facebook, refers to their now nine gorgeous children, six boys and three girls.

Eric and Courtney Waldrop always wanted a big family. But with fertility issues and several miscarriages before, between, and following the births of their first three sons, they weren’t sure it was a possibility.

Then came the shocker. After undergoing fertility treatments, the Waldrops learned they were not expecting just one baby, but six!

Courtney expressed her feelings of fear and doubt, but her biggest worry was more closely related to her desire to be the best parent she could be to all nine children.

“It was really nothing else than just the challenge of trying to be … a good mom for them and grow these six babies and get them where they needed to be,” she shared at a press conference.

But there’s no question her older three feel anything but love and joy when it comes to their younger siblings. Take a look at the entire family, and the faces of those three happy boys!

Despite the dangers and risks leading up to the sextuplets’ births, this family never wavered in their belief it would all turn out okay. And when given the option to reduce the number of fetuses to lower those risks?

Spoiler alert: the Waldrops refused.

“We are strong in our faith,” Courtney said, “but you never know how you’re going to feel when you’re actually in those shoes.

“When we let it go and turned it all over to (God), those fears—though we know the risks are still there—were lifted from us.”

The risk paid off. Now this faith-filled family is loving every minute they get to spend with their precious “rainbow babies.”

You can catch all eleven Waldrops on TLC this fall. Their documentary will feature the ups and downs of Courtney’s pregnancy, along with the family’s new life full of adjustments.

I can’t wait to see this amazing group in action. Their faith is truly inspiring.
