Photographers Ready To Snap Pics of Royal Baby, Then They See Who Opens Door

Share

After Kate Middleton arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London just before 6 a.m. U.K. time on Monday, April 23, the rest of the world anxiously awaited the arrival of the newest royal baby.

Reporters and photographers gathered outside of the hospital, eager to catch the first picture of royal baby number three.

Just a few hours later, the hospital doors open! Is it the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge finally emerging to show off the sweet child?

Nope! It is an unsuspecting couple who just had their own baby and emerged from the hospital to find cameras stuck in their faces.

Can you even imagine being exhausted from giving birth to a human being and then being bombarded by paparazzi you were not prepared to see?

Even though I would have wanted to run back into the hospital and find a different exit, new parents were actually pretty good spirited about the entire thing.

One couple was so at ease that they had the world’s media take multiple pictures of them to make sure they got a good one.

At least one other couple posed for pictures before Kate and Prince William walked out the door with their precious son.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth at 11:01 a.m. local time, according to the palace.

Finally, the duke and duchess walked out of the hospital doors carrying their happy and healthy baby boy, weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces.

The new prince will be fifth in line to the throne. He is now Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh’s sixth great-grandchild.
