RNC Torches Pelosi's Love for MS-13 in New Ad

Share

A new GOP ad has turned one of the most appalling responses to President Donald Trump’s comments on MS-13 — from Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi — and made it into a brutal one-minute political indictment of the left’s policies on illegal immigration.

In the wake of the president’s description of the gang — which is mostly made up of immigrants from El Salvador and takes “Kill, Rape, Control” as its motto — as “animals,” Democrats practically fell all over themselves to clutch at their cruelty-free pearls. Even in this environment, however, Pelosi’s statement stands out for its sheer … well, Pelosi-ness.

“We believe — some of us who are attracted to the political arena, to government and public service — that we are all God’s children, there is a spark of divinity among every person on earth, and that we all have to recognize that, as we respect the dignity and worth of every person and as we recognize our responsibilities with that spark of divinity within us,” Peloisi said at a news conference, according to the Daily Wire.

“And so when the president of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, ‘These aren’t people, these are animals,’ you have to wonder, does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?”

Pelosi failed to mention that these were gang members he was talking about, as many Democrats and those who aid and abet them in the media were wont to do.

So, the GOP decided to remind everybody:

My guess is that you’ll see that one around election time, too.

And why not? After all, America needs to be reminded about how the American left sees the “spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person,” even as they are people who live by the motto “Kill, Rape, Control.” That’s divinity right there.

Do you think that MS-13 members are animals?

The White House, however, isn’t backing down. Just in case you didn’t get the message, the Trump administration also has a fact sheet posted on the White House website that makes it clear just what we’re dealing with in terms of MS-13, unsubtly titled “What You Need to Know About the Animals of MS-13,”

“Too many innocent Americans have fallen victim to the unthinkable violence of MS-13’s animals,” the website reads.

“At the State of the Union in January 2018, President Trump brought as his guests Elizabeth Alvarado, Robert Mickens, Evelyn Rodriguez, and Freddy Cuevas, the parents of Nisa Mickens and Kayla Cuevas. Police believe these young girls were chased down and brutally murdered by MS-13 gang members on Long Island, New York, in 2016. Suffolk County Police Commissioner stated that the ‘murders show a level of brutality that is close to unmatched.’

“In Maryland, MS-13’s animals are accused of stabbing a man more than 100 times and then decapitating him, dismembering him, and ripping his heart out of his body. Police believe MS-13 members in Maryland also savagely beat a 15-year-old human trafficking victim. The MS-13 animals used a bat and took turns beating her nearly 30 times in total,” it continues.

“In Houston, Texas, two MS-13 members were charged after kidnapping and sexually assaulting one girl and murdering another. The two MS-13 animals laughed, smiled, and waved for cameras in court as they faced the charges.”

Pelosi’s words represent the kind of prattle you hear simply because the Democrats need to wallpaper all of the collateral damage their open borders policies have produced. The flowery language of sparks of divinity hides a party that doesn’t want to take the blame for not dealing with MS-13 — along with human traffickers, drug cartels and other general lawlessness associated with illegal immigration.

Voters aren’t going to forget, however — and to make sure of that, it appears the GOP is going to remind them with ads like this. It’s a long time until November, after all, and there’s a lot of this rhetoric to repurpose.
