Sarah Sanders Eviscerates Whinebag Pelosi With Epic Message About Gov't Shutdown
On midnight Saturday, Democrats proved they weren’t bluffing — they were willing to do almost anything for illegal immigrants, including shuttering the government.
Democrats in the Senate refused to vote for a continuing resolution that would keep the government open, insisting instead that any resolution reinstate former President Barack Obama’s program for illegal aliens — known as DACA — while leaving border security issues off the menu.
While the House actually passed the bill — no filibuster threat there, after all — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi defended the Democrats and tried to blame President Donald Trump, noting he once said “our country needs a good shutdown.”
“There is no such thing as a good shutdown of government,” Pelosi said, according to Fox News. “Republicans’ total inability to govern is once again threatening our economy, weakening communities, and dangerously depriving the military of the certainty they need to keep our nation safe.”
However, if Pelosi thought the shutdown wasn’t a good thing, she sure wasn’t showing it Saturday night, when she took her Democrat colleagues out for an expensive night on the town — all as our men and women in uniform won’t get paid until Congress reaches an agreement.
And White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called her out on it big time.
First, the details. Pelosi decided to take her retinue out to Acqua al 2, a popular Washington destination.

Acqua al 2 is one of the tonier places in the capital, if not the most expensive. According to its menu, the Pollo con Erbe Aromatiche, a “(g)rilled double chicken breast, rubbed with thyme, rosemary, and garlic,” only costs $24, and the Controfiletto ai Funghi Porcini, a “(h)and-carved New York strip steak sautéed in a porcini mushroom sauce,” is a mere $34.
Some meals, of course, were more expensive than that:

Of course, for the men and women in our military who don’t know when the next paycheck will come, that’s a lot of money — and Sanders pointed that out perfectly on Twitter.

Of course, it’s hard to be surprised that Pelosi did this. This isn’t someone who exudes tact — as evinced by her infamous statement that “I think I’m worth the trouble” after Democrat congressional candidate Jon Ossoff‘s loss in Georgia last year.
However, few people have stepped up to call Pelosi out on her ridiculousness. This is, after all, a shutdown that affects our heroes the hardest. So, instead of just grabbing some Chinese food or eating at home, what did she do?
Go out and celebrate at an expensive restaurant with her Democrat peeps.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders called her out on it, just like she’s called out so many people in the press room. Good for her. If the media isn’t willing to do it, Sanders certainly is — and it exposed Pelosi’s whining about the shutdown as being every bit as fake as you might expect it to be.
