Watch: Bill Maher Goes After Melania with Sick 'Mrs. Hitler' Jacket

First lady Melania Trump came under fire Thursday for what she was photographed wearing while boarding a plane to Texas to visit detention facilities for illegal immigrants.

Trump’s military-style jacket from the retailer Zara featured graffiti-like lettering on that back that read, “I really don’t care, do u.”

Critics said it was outrageous for her to express such a sentiment amid the furor over the separation of children from their illegal immigrant parents at the border.

Melania’s husband, however, tweeted that it was a poke at the “Fake News Media,” whom he said she no longer cares about.

The first lady endured nasty attacks from the usual suspects in Hollywood for her wardrobe choice, with Chelsea Handler, Judd Apatow and Kathy Griffin among those serving up vile insults. Jim Carrey chimed in with some of his demented “art.”

Not to be outdone, Bill Maher bashed Melania in a vicious segment on his HBO show, “Real Time,” on Friday.

Do you think the Hollywood left has gone too far in its attacks on Melania Trump?

“In her defense, she has a lot of racist sweaters that were in the wash that she could have worn,” Maher said. “She picked out one of the best.”

He then proceeded to show supposedly humorous images of Mrs. Trump’s other jackets — including one with the words, “That’s Mrs. Hitler to You.”

Because of course a moment can’t go by without a celebrity likening Trump to Hitler or calling Republicans “Nazis.”

(WARNING: Video contains profanity.)

Some of the other fake jackets weren’t quite as nasty as the “Mrs. Hitler” reference, but they still cast the first lady as a vampire or a movie villain.

“Don’t talk to me before I have my blood,” one said.

“My other coat is made of 101 Dalmations,” said another.

Even the president’s strongest supporters would concede that Mrs. Trump’s jacket choice probably wasn’t the best, given her mission. But instead of offering rational, level-headed criticism, the Hollywood left went unhinged, painting the first lady as a bloodthirsty, racist, puppy-killing Nazi bride.

It’s easy to see why Melania Trump wouldn’t care about what they have to say.
