13 Year Cover-Up: Lost Photo Emerges of Obama and Radical Black Nationalist Together

Share

Thirteen years ago photo journalist Askia Muhammad snapped a photo of then-Sen. Barack Obama standing alongside the anti-American, race-baiting leader of the radical Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, at a meeting of the so-called Congressional Black Caucus.

Immediately after Muhammad snapped the picture, a staff member of the CBC contacted him “sort of in a panic” and apparently demanded he relinquish the photo, Muhammad admitted this week to Talking Points Memo.

“I sort of understood what was going on,” he said. “I promised and made arrangements to give the picture to Leonard Farrakhan (Farrakhan’s son).”

Though he reportedly gave away “the disk” from his camera, Muhammad kept a copy for himself on his PC, where the picture has remained for the past 13 years.

After nearly 1.5 decades of being stashed away, the photo finally made it to the limelight this week when Muhammad chose to share it with the Trice Edney Wire, a news feed owned by veteran journalist Hazel Trice Edney.

Not only did the Trice Edney Wire subsequently publish the photo on the internet (it can be seen below), but it also uncovered an explanation for why the CBC had sought to hide it from the public decades ago.

“I do believe that it would have had a very, very negative affect in that given moment as far as the candidacy of candidate Obama at that time,” Dr. Shayla Nunnally, the president of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists, explained to the Trice Edney Wire.

“On top of that, people have always characterized Minister Farrakhan as being a combative figure in American politics. That adds another layer,” she added.

Would the publication of this photo have stopped Obama from winning the 2008 election?

You think? Farrakhan is a racist who’s previously said “(w)hite people are potential humans — they haven’t evolved yet” and “(t)he Jews have been so bad at politics they lost half their population in the Holocaust,” as noted by The Guardian.

This is the man Obama stood beside 13 years ago. This is also the same man Obama later tried to distance himself from.

“I obviously can’t censor him, but it is not support that I sought,” Obama said during the 2008 election in response to criticism from then-Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton for his refusal to reject Farrakhan’s support for his election bid.

“And we’re not doing anything, I assure you, formally or informally with Minister Farrakhan,” he added.

Besides posing next to Farrakhan for a picture at a CBC meeting, right?

Writing this week for National Review, Jim Geraghty explained why this picture is so significant: “Barack Obama is too smart a guy to be oblivious about Farrakhan and what he believes and preaches. Obama didn’t have to go over and pose for a picture. He chose to do so. Obama almost certainly disagrees with Farrakhan’s outrageous and incendiary statements, but that disagreement wasn’t enough to get him to not pose and smile.”

Geraghty also noted how, during the 2008 election, the leftist media “attacked any conservatives who contended that Obama and Farrakhan had a relationship.”

Yet not only do we now know that Obama once posed with Farrakhan, but we’re also aware that the two met privately right before the election.

“Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan recently revealed for the first time the details of a private meeting he had at his Chicago home with Barack Obama just before the then-U.S. Senator announced his run for president,” The Daily Caller reported two years ago.

In other words, every single thing the leftist media has ever claimed about Obama being a flawless angel with no ties to one of the most outspoken racists in America is a lie. Of course, we would have already known this long before had Muhammad, a journalist himself, not made a deal with the devil (i.e., the Congressional Black Caucus) 13 years ago.
