It’s a headline that you’ve doubtlessly seen other places, and now you’ve seen it again from Politico: The younger voters who voted for President Donald Trump in 2024 aren’t going to stay Republican, especially if J.D. Vance is the nominee in 2028.

But how true is it?

The latest example in this type of journalism came Friday from the aforementioned publication: “These Gen-Z Trump voters don’t want JD Vance in 2028,” Politico’s headline blared.
