Artist shows off Pittsburgh Steelers tattoo that took 5 years to complete
Everyone knows Steelers fans are among the NFL’s most devoted.
But this is taking it to a new level.
Let’s just say the “Terrible Towel” has nothing on the full-sleeve Steeler.
Sarah Miller owns the “Wyld Chyld Tattoo Studio in Pittsburgh, and while her latest masterpiece may have taken FIVE YEARS to complete, the final product shows it was time well spent.

This is a who’s who in the Steelers’ rich history.
Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Jerome “The Bus” Bettis — they’re all depicted on Scott Wolfe’s arm.
The incredible attention to detail made for some long days — for both Miller and Wolfe.
“We’ve been working on it, off and on, for about five years, maybe a little bit more,” Miller said, per USA Today. “He’s been coming every three to four months. I would say conservatively maybe like 10 or 11 session. The shortest sitting that we had was about six hours and the longest was 16.”
Wolfe is a former Navy Seal, so sitting for 16 hours at a time while Miller drew on his arm might have been a little easier.
But even for the toughest of men, this was no day at the beach.
“I am usually good for the first five hours and then it starts feeling like razor blades the more detailed work she has to do and the constant wiping,” Wolfe said. “I’ve never yelled or moved, it just is uncomfortable. The testy part she was talking about was the elbow we just finished. That hurt like noting else I have ever experienced.”
Wolfe has particularly enjoyed being able to show off his tattoo to some of the legends who are depicted on it.
“Joe Greene is old school so he just smiled and nodded. Franco Harris and Kevin Greene were super excited. In fact Kevin yelled in his wrestling voice ‘That’s what I’m talking about,'” he said.
Now that the Black and Gold is complete, it might be time to get ready for Han Solo and R2D2.
“Since my arm is full, I’m not sure. There are still some iconic things like Super Bowl trophy’s and The Terrible Towel, but I haven’t thought that far ahead yet,” Wolfe said. “We are actually finishing my other arm sleeve, the next appointment of Star Wars.”
