Slate Mocks Trump for Not Using Computer, Mistakenly Uses Pic of Him With Laptop
Without question, the liberal media will utilize virtually any angle they can think of to attack President Donald Trump. As a result, some of those attacks are absurdly ridiculous and wholly without merit or even worth mentioning.
However, sometime the attacks are so ludicrous that they must be mocked incessantly, and ultra-liberal outlet Slate just foolishly wandered into that territory with an article slamming Trump over his use — or rather, lack thereof — of a computer.
The writer at Slate, Heather Schwedel, apparently took exception to recent tweets from Trump which called out Google for the overtly biased results they returned when he did a search for “Trump news” and received links to liberal media outlets publishing negative news about him and his administration.
Aside from mocking the president over doing a Google search on himself — something pretty much everyone has done at least once, especially public figures — she also alleged that Trump doesn’t even know how to do a Google search on himself as he doesn’t know how to use a computer.
That assertion appeared to be based almost wholly on snarky tweets from two White House correspondents, Maggie Haberman of The New York Times and Tara Palmeri of ABC News.
Haberman tweeted, “He doesn’t use a computer. Someone is doing the googling but not him.”
(Palmeri’s tweet is actually kind of funny. We should all start referring to iPad tablets as “the flat one,” if only to truly torque off the liberal media.)
Perhaps the most insane part of the whole thing, however, is the picture that Slate used in its own tweet to promote the article slamming Trump for not using a computer … which prominently featured an open laptop computer next to Trump in his Air Force One office.

Many of the responses to that tweet pointed out the rather obvious computer sitting right next to the president who allegedly doesn’t know how to use one.
Furthermore, several commenters on the post had taken the time to read Slate’s ridiculous article and pointed out the obvious fact that Trump’s smartphone — which he uses to tweet prolifically — is in fact a “computer,” as is his iPad.
Assuming Trump conducted the Google search of himself on his own — and that work wasn’t farmed out to some underling, as implied by Haberman — then it was done on a “computer” of some sort, proving that he does indeed know how to use a computer in at least some form or fashion.
The Slate article went on to bring up how it has long been known that Trump prefers to read actual newspapers instead of online articles, but that is merely a personal preference likely shared by many other Americans, and is not at all indicative of Trump’s supposed inability to use a computer to read online articles.
This article from Slate was nothing more than a lame attempt to mock a president that liberal journalists don’t like, and it failed miserably.
At no point in the article did the writer conclusively make the point that Trump is incapable of using a computer, and the very picture that Slate used in its tweet to promote the story undermined the crux of the story itself.
The hacks at Slate wanted nothing more than to mock and disparage the president as being stupid and technologically unsavvy, but they couldn’t even get their “fake news” right.
Who needs fact checkers, at least in this case, when the liberal media debunk their own stories as they publish them?
