Watch the Bizarre Moment Dem Debater Exploded on Making Abortion Available for Men

Share

Going into the first 2020 Democratic presidential debate on Wednesday, I expected to hear some crazy.

This is the Democratic Party, after all.

Then, former Obama-era Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro took things to the next level.

How, you might ask?

Well, according to Castro, abortion should be available to men.

Yes, you heard that right.

As The Daily Caller noted, Castro was asked whether his health care plan would include people who want to obtain abortions.

“Yes it would,” Castro said. “I don’t believe only in reproductive freedom, I believe in reproductive justice.”

Was this the craziest statement of the first debate?

“What that means is just because a woman or, let’s also not forget, someone in the trans community — a trans female — is poor does not mean they should not have the ability to exercise that right to choose.”

Now, I really shouldn’t have to say this, but that’s a completely ridiculous statement in every way.

What Castro is essentially saying is that biological males who identify as women should have the right to obtain an abortion.

The problem, of course, is that men cannot get abortions, because men can’t get pregnant!

Is that really such a controversial statement?

Do I need go into the specifics of how babies are made?

Even if you assume that men who identify as women are women — a somewhat large assumption, but bear with me — it’s literally impossible (at least with current technology) to change a man’s body to give him the parts that are necessary to bear children.

The kicker, of course, is that this outrageous claim comes from the party that claims to be on the side of science.

Sure, OK, keep on thinking that.
