[RETRACTED] Daunte Wright Had an Arrest Warrant for Allegedly Choking and Holding a Woman at Gunpoint: Court Docs

Share

Retraction, April 16, 2021: This article misstated the charges against Daunte Wright, who was wanted at the time of his death on an active warrant not for aggravated robbery, but for a “gross misdemeanor weapons charge,” according to a statement from the Washington County Attorney’s Office cited by Lead Stories. There had been a previous active warrant for the felony charges, but Wright appeared (via Zoom) in court for that case in January and was scheduled to be tried on those charges in August. Because of the confusion between the two warrants would require extensive re-writing of the article, The Western Journal chose to retract it in its entirety.
