Erika Kirk is rightly being praised for the dignity, grace, and courage she has displayed since the tragic assassination of her husband, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, earlier this month.
Her strength of character was on full display Sunday when she forgave the alleged 22-year-old assassin, telling a crowd gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, “My husband Charlie — he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life.”
“On the cross, our Savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.’ That man, that young man. I forgive him,” she continued through tears.
