Fact Check: Did a Muslim Family Acquire One of the Biggest Bible Publishers in the World?

It’s a rather stunning claim that’s been making its way around Christian circles since early this month: A Muslim family from the Middle East has purchased the largest Bible producer in the world and might change it. But is it accurate?

It’s certainly alarming on face. In early August, California-based pastor Jack Hibbs put out a video saying that the unnamed Muslim family in question bought out “one of the biggest Bible producing publishers in the world.”

“Why would Muslims buy a Bible producing company?” he said in the video, a question which (to him) answered itself.
