Former WWE Personality Threatens To Kill Himself at Live Show

Share

Professional wrestlers are known for taking their acts over the top — just watch any episode of the WWE’s “Raw” or “Smackdown Live” for proof.

But a former WWE wrestler took it way too far Monday when he threatened to kill himself Monday night at “Raw” in Toronto.

Jason Sensation is no longer with the WWE. In fact, he hasn’t been with the company since the 1990s.

But on Monday he tweeted that he was going to kill himself.

“I got my gun through security & will shoot myself in the head & kill myself during tonight’s #RAW in Toronto,” he tweeted. “Don’t ya dare miss it!!!”

“I got my gun through security and will shoot myself in the head and kill myself during tonight’s #Raw in Toronto. Don’t ya dare miss it!!! Thanks for the memories @WWE,” he tweeted.

It was later revealed to be a joke, but it caused a panic and required a police investigation.

Sensation’s Twitter account has since been deactivated, but not before many people saw it and responded. Former WWE, WCW, and TNA personality Vince Russo reached out to him right away.

Police in Toronto were immediately alerted to the threat.

“There were numerous tweets to Toronto Police regarding a threat made by Jason Sensation over Twitter. We have been investigating it thoroughly. We are with Mr. Sensation now, he never was at the Scotiabank Arena, there is no concern for public safety,” Toronto Police said in a statement, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Sensation confirmed, according to Russo, that the tweet was a joke. He told Russo he is OK and he is sorry, Wrestling Inc reported.

Sensation had a memorable feud with the late great Owen Hart in which he did an impression of Hart.

He also appeared with Triple H and DX to do his impression of Hart.

The former WWE personality is also known for doing some funny impressions of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and others.

But what he did Monday night is not the least bit funny.
