Kid Rock Hits the Links With President Trump, Outrages Leftists With Simple Message Afterwards

Share

Kid Rock just rocked the liberals again.

The unabashed fan of President Donald Trump has already made his way onto the enemies’ list of big-name lefties, including a widely publicized spat with Joy Behar of “The View.”

But when Rock made a show out of a golfing trip with Trump at the president’s Mar-a-Lago resort this weekend, he really drew the liberal fire – because he left no doubt where his admiration lies.

“Another great day on the links!” the rapper wrote in a Twitter posting published Saturday afternoon.

“Thank you to POTUS for having me and to EVERYONE at Trump International for being so wonderful. What a great man, so down to earth and so fun to be with!! KEEP AMERICA GREATT!!”

The fact that Rock, a Michigan native born Robert James Ritchie, was patriotically attired in American flag-themed trousers and a white shirt with a red sweater only infuriated the liberals more.

Rock, who dabbled with the idea of a Senate run prior to last year’s midterms, no doubt expected some of the responses he was going to get. But there’s no question that they were still vicious.

Hollywood liberal Rosanna Arquette was leading the pack.

Liberal Christian author John Pavlovitz wasn’t far behind.

Meanwhile, some other critics weren’t so famous.

Of course, there were some critics who pointed out that Rock’s colorful garb was a violation of the U.S. flag code, which declares, among other things, that the flag “should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery.”

Now, that’s a fair criticism. But it’s fair to question whether all — or even most — of those critics were writing in good faith.

Did you object to Kid Rock's golf course clothing?

Most conservatives don’t truly take it amiss if someone who loves the country wears the flag in a way that isn’t condoned by the flag code. It’s still a free country that values individual expression.

Most liberals, meanwhile, seem to only get bothered by “abuse” of the flag when it’s committed by someone who believes in what the country the flag stands for. Let an illegal alien deface the flag in the name of a political protest, and the left will be falling over itself to support the freedom of speech.

And Rock’s respect for Old Glory is a matter of public record.

When he delivered his opinion of the national anthem protests led by former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, it was national news back in 2017. (Some conservatives might not have approved of Rock’s language, but the sentiment was tough to argue with.)

What really infuriated the liberals in Saturday’s tweet wasn’t some manufactured outrage on behalf of the Red, White and Blue. It was Rock’s stated opinion of Donald Trump, and Trump’s efforts to carry through on the campaign platform of “Make America Great Again.”

But in 2019, the United States with Trump in the White House is a country where the economy is humming at a rate his immediate predecessor’s supporters still can’t believe. (But ttry to claim credit for.)

It’s a world where the Islamic State group, which terrorized millions while the Barack Obama presidency fumbled in paralyzed impotence, has been destroyed.

And it’s a political system where special counsel Robert Mueller has finally delivered his report to the attorney general without being impeded by the very commander in chief he was investigating.

While the contents of the report aren’t yet public, it’s virtually certain that the report will not, and could not, live up to the Democrat dream of providing enough ammunition to impeach Trump for alleged “collusion” with the Russian government.

In short, things are looking pretty good under the Trump administration,  despite unending backbiting by Trump’s Democratic opponents and the mainstream media that acts as their propaganda ministry.

Kid Rock’s Twitter post summed up that feeling pretty well.

And that’s really why liberals are outraged — they just got rocked by the Kid again.
