HGTV 'Fixer Upper' Star Chip Gaines Makes Hilarious Confession About Joanna's Pregnant Body
I had the awesome privilege of getting to go to Waco, Texas this past weekend. Yes, it was as aesthetically pleasing as you think. And no, I didn’t see Chip or Joanna.
As my friend and I were walking around the Magnolia Market, I couldn’t help but to be amazed at how much success Joanna and Chip have had since their hit HGTV show “Fixer Upper” first aired.
It’s really hard not to love their charming, goofy personalities, but watching the way they love each other and other people is what kept me watching. Chip’s love for his wife is inspiring and heart-melting.
When Chip started dropping hints on twitter and eventually announced that they were expecting “number 5,” fans were ecstatic.
Since then we’ve been blessed with small updates on Joanna’s growing baby bump and food cravings.
On her 40th birthday, Joanna posted an adorable photo of her enjoying donuts and showing off her baby bump. She wrote, “This is 40. And I like it… #pregnantandforty #anddonuts”
Chip and Joanna recently went on the “Today” show to promote Joanna’s new cookbook, “Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering.” She admitted that writing a cookbook while having those pregnancy cravings was perfect timing.
Chip had a hilarious admission of his own. He said that prior to dating Joanna, he normally dated “bigger-boned girls.”
“Just to be real, so whenever Jo’s pregnant, it’s kind of my thing. It’s kind of my jam,” he said in true Chip fashion.
Even though the three girls were originally “team girl” and the three boys were “team boy,” the entire family is excited to welcome a little boy.
“This is really upsetting the balance of power. The boys might be able to outvote them from now until kingdom come,” Chip joked.
The couple said they have not chosen a name yet, but the debate is still ongoing. Joanna wants a name that starts with “C” while Chip wants to continue to the trend set in place with Duke and Drake and use a name that starts with a “D.”
Whatever the little boy’s name ends up being, he will definitely be loved well! Do you have any ideas for what baby number five should be named?
