Justin Timberlake Releases Horrors of Son's Delivery Three Years After Wife Gives Birth

Share

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were preparing for their son’s arrival almost three years ago and they had the perfect birth plan.

“We had two midwives, one doula, one meditation birthing class, a ton of hippie baby books, and a lovely home in the Hollywood Hills that we had turned into a labor training facility that we called The Octagon,” they wrote.

Despite all of their preparation, Biel had to go to the hospital for an emergency C-section at the last minute.

When they got home, they were exhausted. They wrote, “When all our plans fell apart and the serene, natural childbirth we had envisioned ended with a transfer to the hospital and an emergency C-section, we arrived home exhausted, disillusioned, and totally in shock.”

That’s when Connie Simpson, also known as “Nanny Connie,” stepped in.

In her new book, “The Nanny Connie Way: Secrets to Mastering the First Four Months of Parenthood,” the couple opened up about how much Nanny Connie meant to them.

She helped the couple begin navigating through the early challenges of parenthood after things didn’t go the way they had planned.

“I was obsessed with everything organic, toxin-free, natural, and homeopathic for our kid, who came into this world in an operating room through an incision. I was a dictator, making myself and my husband insane,” she said in the book.

Biel described parenthood as “life’s greatest equalizer.” She said that no matter who you are, what you do for a living, or how much you make, you all go through the same things as parents.

Timberlake told Beats Radio 1, “When you have kids, all of a sudden you’re faced with your own childhood, good and bad, and am I gonna completely mess this kid up?”

He continued, “I feel like the success of parenthood is feeling like, ‘Uh, I failed all day today but I get to wake up tomorrow and do it again,’ and hopefully, they turn out to be a good human being.”

According to Biel’s Instagram post on Father’s Day, little Silas thinks the world of his dad. She wrote, “As Silas likes to say, ‘you are so much cool.'”

It seems like they’re doing a pretty good job as parents. As the couple prepares to celebrate Silas’ third birthday on April 8th, they are extremely grateful for their son even if he didn’t come according to plan.
