Lefties Find New Way to Attack Trump's Star... Use Fake Russian Soldiers

Share

Donald Trump’s Hollywood star has become the site of the largest metaphorical battle over the Trump presidency. The fixture on the Walk of Fame has been destroyed not once but twice. It’s been the site of plenty of protests and clashes.

And now, it’s home to one of the corniest and least subtle political statements we’ve seen thus far during the Trump presidency.

According to The Hill, a group of fake Russian soldiers are “standing guard” at the star in the days following its latest desecration, wearing ushankas and holding a Russian flag.

Of course, it’s idiotic.

But at least these idiots are doing it during a Southern California heat wave, so their long jackets at least function as a kind of hair shirt to make penance for the groan-worthy visual statement.

However idiotic it looked though, some liberal Twitter users found it to be the height of political satire:

If this is “genius” and “makes you think on so many levels,” I think we’ve discovered the reason why Michelle Wolf is a gainfully employed homeowner.

As for the individual who allegedly destroyed Trump’s Hollywood star this time, he’s been bailed out — by the guy who did it the first time.

Do you think this anti-Trump protest was witty?

Austin Clay, who was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department after claiming responsibility for going at the star with a pickaxe, was released after bond was posted by James Otis, the Otis elevator fortune heir who perpetrated the first act.

“I don’t know why he did it, but I assume it’s because of something Trump has done,” Otis said, according to Global News.

“I’m not an advocate of violence, but doing something to draw focus to Trump’s actions, I’m not going to condemn that. I look forward to meeting (Clay) when he gets out.”

After the latest attack, the star has become a flashpoint for protests yet again. A Washington Post account published Sunday records how a brawl broke out when an anti-Trump protester used racial slurs and intimidated pro-Trump demonstrators and a film crew present.

At least the Russian guard stunt wasn’t a brawl, although it was every bit as stupid.

Just like Stormy Daniels and James Comey, the left keeps on clinging to narratives that don’t particularly make sense in the vain hope President Trump will be removed from office.

The joke, alas, is on them.
