'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond Just Opened a New Hotel, Each Room Has Special Theme
Ree Drummond is best known for the Food Network show “The Pioneer Woman” and her blog under the same name.
People flock to her town of Pawhuska, Oklahoma to visit her restaurant/bakery/kitchen shop in the little town of 3,600.
What’s even more surprising? These visitors happily wait in line for up to five hours to get a seat at The Mercantile.
“They just keep coming and coming and coming,” Stacey Merrel said. “It’s a great thing for Pawhuska, for sure.”
The Mercantile, according to director of operations Taylor Potter, can draw between 4,000 to 6,000 visitors a day.
Visitors can also visit Drummond’s lodge, the family guest house, which serves as the set for her Food Network cooking show.
Now, these visitors can turn their day trip into an overnight getaway in the Pioneer Woman’s new hotel.
The Boarding House is a “cowboy luxury” hotel and each of the eight rooms has a different theme.
The suites are The Ranch Room, The Butterfly Room, The Photograph Room, The Emerald Room, The Boudoir, The Drugstore Room, The Praire Room and The Tack Room.
According to their website, the building was built in 1920 and transformed from “The Indian Silk Shop” to a J.C. Penny department store before it became The Boarding House.
Anyone staying at the hotel will receive personalized morning coffee, treats left on their pillow, in-room dining, and a complimentary wine and beer Happy Hour.
With all those amenities, I’m not sure I would want to leave! You can book your stay through March 2019, but the dates are filling up fast!
“The Boarding House has had a great response and has booked up pretty quickly,” Drummond wrote on her blog. “But we still have plenty of rooms available this winter and next spring.”
