Royal Wedding Performer Revealed After Talk Show Slip-Up By Singer Invited
The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is suddenly coming up fast. Where has the time gone?
It seems like just yesterday the two lovebirds became engaged. But now more than ever, with just a few months before the big day, the world wants in on the top-secret details.
Of course, invitations have been sent out, and we can only assume that plenty of high profile guests will be in attendance.
While Harry and Meghan’s wedding attendance won’t be as large as Prince William and Kate’s 1,900 person guest list, a modest 800 people will fill Windsor Castle this May.
While the guest list is not public, it appears that a few guests have let their invite status slip.
Others have even hinted at the possibility of performing for the newlyweds on the big day.
Former Spice Girls singer Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, appears to have revealed both this week.
During an interview on the talk show The Real, the band member couldn’t quite keep her secret.
When asked whether or not she knew anyone attending the royal wedding, the singer shook her head yes before mouthing the words “I’m going.”
When the three hosts of the show started freaking out, Mel B quickly said, “I don’t know if I should have said that on live camera.”
However, when asked if she was sent a formal invitation to the nuptials, she willingly gave the information that “all five Spice Girls” were.
Again, the singer voiced her immediate regret in being “so honest” with the information when the hosts went wild with excitement.
This led to even more questions, the most important of them being whether or not the Spice Girls would be actually performing at the wedding.
This time, Scary Spice did not directly answer the question, but smiled widely before throwing her papers in the air and telling them “I’m going to be fired.”
The Real hosts took this to mean the Spice Girls will, in fact, perform at the royal wedding, one host clarifying, “She didn’t say yes, but we did!”
Markle is reportedly a fan of the band, while Harry met the entire group after attending their concert in 1997.
So will the Spice Girls actually perform at the royal wedding? I’d say they’re definitely in for at least a song or two, but I guess we will all just have to wait until May 19 to find out.
