See Sweet Moment Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russel Reported for Grandparent Duty
Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson are a pretty tight mother/daughter duo, and all signs point to the beginning of a pretty tight-knit trio now that baby Rani has arrived.
While Rani Rose certainly isn’t Hawn’s first grandchild, the excitement levels are still pretty high. The actress has always spoken out about how important family is to her.
“Being a grandmother is amazing, I love it,” she said, according to Now To Love. “It brings incredible joy. Family is so important.”
“Kate and I have the kind of relationship that I had with my mother,” Hawn added. “We laugh so much together. Once we went to a yoga retreat and we could not stop laughing. We both knew we didn’t have to say anything — we would just start laughing.”
“I always remember my mom saying there’s only one thing in life she refused to fail at: raising her children,” Hudson told Closer.
“A good family is the answer to happiness,” Hawn admitted. “I look at our kids and grandkids and there’s nothing in the world that could make me as proud as I am of all of them.”
Even the people around them can see how close they are. One anonymous source who said they were close to the family confirmed that Hawn constantly spends time with her grandkids.
“She sees her grandchildren all the time,” they said. “She gets in the sandbox, blows bubbles, and acts silly.”
“Goldie’s an elephant advocate, so she’s already bought the baby a huge pink elephant,” they added, which at the time was months before Rani’s birth.
The rest of us have to rely on social media to see what the famous family is up to, though there’s no reason to doubt that Hawn is continuing to be her doting grandma self.
One photo that Hudson shared in December certainly highlighted that role.
The snapshot, dated Dec. 6, showed a smiling Hawn and Kurt Russell fussing over a baby (ostensibly Rani Rose, though the grandparents are so enamored with her they all you can see is blanket and cradling arms).
“Grandma and Grandpa duty…or should I say Mr and Mrs Claus,” Hudson wrote, nodding to their roles in the movie “The Christmas Chronicles.” Looks like these grandparents are still over the moon with the new addition!
