After Snide Kavanaugh Question, Acosta Gets Reality Checked by Sarah Sanders

Share

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders completely humiliated CNN’s Jim Acosta in front of his colleagues by giving him a lesson in telling the truth.

During Wednesday’s press briefing, Acosta asked Sanders if she had a problem with President Donald Trump’s remarks about Christine Ford, the woman who made a sexual assault accusation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Acosta was referring to Trump’s rally in Mississippi on Tuesday night, where the president went all-in on Ford’s claims.

Trump mocked Ford’s inability to answer basic questions regarding the details of her alleged sexual assault.

Trump also outlined the left’s attempts to destroy Kavanaugh’s life over the unsubstantiated claims.

“They destroy people. They want to destroy people. These are really evil people,” Trump said referring to the left’s smear campaign against Kavanaugh.

As you would expect, the left didn’t take too kindly to Trump’s blunt criticism of Ford’s testimony and the left’s behavior.

Acosta was still triggered by Trump’s comments the next day.

Should Jim Acosta be embarrassed over his remarks?

“You don’t have any problem defending the president’s comments?” Acosta asked.

Sanders shot back with the perfect response.

“I don’t have any problem stating facts, no,” Sanders said bluntly before continuing. “I know that’s something you probably do have a problem with, but I don’t.”

Acosta, visibly irritated, tried to defend his integrity.

“Actually, Sarah, we do state the facts, and I think there have been many occasions when you don’t state the facts, if I may respond,” Acosta nervously replied.

Sanders ignored Acosta’s comments and called on the next reporter.

Poor Acosta! He probably thought he was going to look so cool with his snide comment about Trump’s rally but instead all he got were badly hurt feelings.

He even made a tweet earlier that morning showing how eager he was to be a part of the press briefing.

There must something about Acosta that makes it so fun to shut him down in press meetings.

In June, Acosta had another deeply embarrassing moment where he started yelling at Trump after one of his speeches. People couldn’t help but look back and give him disapproving looks.

In July, Trump shut down Acosta and called CNN fake news in front of British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Later in July, a White House staffer had to kick out an unruly Acosta because he was causing a commotion in the Oval Office.

“Move, Jim, let’s go. Keep going, Jim, let’s go. Jim, we’re leaving. Come on, Jim. Go. We’re done,” the staffer yelled at Jim.

Seeing Acosta repeatedly humiliate himself at press meetings is one of my favorite things about politics this year.
