Mitch McConnell was first admitted to the hospital on June 14 following a reported medical incident at his home.

Congress usually takes an August recess, so he would not be expected in Washington until after Labor Day weekend in September.

Audio posted to social media suggests that Sen. Mitch McConnell was found unconscious at home when he was hospitalized on June 14.

GOP Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky will miss an entire week of voting in the Senate, according to a Monday statement from his office. 

“Senator McConnell was admitted to the hospital this morning. He is receiving excellent care,” spokesman David Popp told the media.
