A senior in New York is going to prison for four years after defending himself against a mugger who charged at him.

An Oklahoma 7-Eleven clerk found herself jobless after shooting a man who she said choked her after trying to pass a counterfeit bill.

"He weighed over 200 pounds. I'm not strong enough to support that. I just collapsed straight down," the veteran said. But he had a solution.

Before the incident, the homeowner had received a shelter-in-place text message from the Austin Police Department. He said it saved his life.

The masked men wore bulletproof vests and claimed they were there to serve a warrant. Then the shooting began.

"A preliminary investigation indicated the woman and her child hid in a bedroom closet," a news outlet reported.
