Tina Turner Reveals She Owes Life to Husband Who Gave Her Kidney for Transplant

For pop star Tina Turner, a special gift from her husband was something that went beyond anything she could have imagined.

It truly showed how much he cared and loved her.

Turner married Erwin Bach, a German music executive, in 2013 after a long and loving relationship.

Bach made the ultimate sacrifice for Turner by gifting her with something that would allow her to live a longer life and save her from the unthinkable.

Turner has been facing kidney disease, so Bach decided to give his wife one of his kidneys, according to The Associated Press.

This selfless act shows that love between a husband and a wife is immeasurable and priceless.



The announcement about Turner’s kidney transplant is a part of her biography, ‘Tina Turner: My Love Story.’

By 2016, Turner’s kidneys were only functioning at, “20 percent and plunging,” she revealed in her upcoming biography.

Turner also wrote in the book about the generous organ donation from her husband that left her speechless.

According to Turner, she was “overwhelmed by the enormity of his offer.”

She goes on to say after her kidney transplant surgery that she felt “happy, overwhelmed and relieved that we’d come through this alive.”



In the book, Turner also urges other to sign up to donate their organs, as they too can save another person’s life.

Turner and Bach have the love that everyone strives for.

This certainly is one love story to hang on to!
