Trump Pulls Rug from Under NYT in Election Night Interview, Forcing Them to Admit Truth About 'King Trump' Lie

For years, the dishonest, disreputable propaganda press has portrayed President Donald Trump as a wannabe king who will never concede power.

They did it before Trump crushed the Democrats in 2016. They did it before Trump suffered defeats in 2018. They did it before Trump lost in 2020. They did it before Trump won a second term in 2024.

And they did it this year as well.

Yet every single time Trump has lost, he’s had no issues eventually conceding power — including this time.

Speaking with The New York Times via phone after Tuesday’s devastating blue-wave election, the president said he was “absolutely willing” to accept defeat and work with Democrats going forward.

“We’ll, you know, look forward to working with them,” he added. “We’ll probably work something out.”

Well, well, well…

How nice of the paper to report this after it spent weeks framing Trump as likely to reject or undermine unfavorable 2026 midterm election results.

Take what New York Times “journalist” Michelle Cottle asked on “The Opinions” podcast in late October, as reported by DNYUZ.

“Maybe this is just my PTSD from 2020 talking, but how might a certain president try to undermine the results if things don’t go his way?” she said.

Excuse you?

Not shockingly, she never posed similar questions about Democrats, despite their repeatedly making wild suggestions about the midterm elections.

For instance, Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker recently said that if Democrats “don’t win in this election, we may not have other elections.”

The New York Times also ran a spectacularly biased “report” on Sept. 8 headlined as follows: “If GOP Loses Midterms, Will Trump Pressure Red States to Invalidate Results?”

The supposed “paper of record” ran another report on Sept. 20 that asked, “If Democrats Win Congress, Could the G.O.P. Refuse to Seat Them?”

Seriously, guys?

The truly shameful part about all this is that they never ran a single report about Democrats not accepting the results of the election.

Of course, The New York Times wasn’t alone in peddling this conspiratorial nonsense.

“Trump’s election-denying strategy is back for the midterms,” CNN alleged in a report published on Oct. 28.

“Trump declines to unconditionally accept midterm results,” The Washington Post similarly said.

The paper’s outrageous claim was based on nothing more than the president previously telling reporters that he’d accept the results of the midterm elections “if they’re honest elections.”

None of these “reports” from The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN have been actual news reports. They have instead been blatant propaganda designed to prop up a false narrative about Trump.

But not just any false narrative. It’s one that was conceived by the media’s unofficial paymasters in the Democratic Party.

Look, while President Trump is an imperfect man with flaws like the rest of us, he’s no king or wannabe king.

He’s a rational adult who was elected president twice by the American people.

The media ought to remember this.
