Andrew is pure Luck after losing his wallet at practice facility, gives good Samaritan incredible gift
Andrew Luck is generally regarded as one of the NFL’s good guys, humble off the field and great with fans.
So when a fan did him a solid by returning his wallet intact to the Colts’ practice facility after finding it during a bike ride, Luck did him one better.
The stranger, for his trouble, got a signed football and a thank-you card from Indianapolis’ signal caller.

Luck’s note reads, “Many thanks! You made my life much easier. Thanks for reminding me of the ‘kindness of strangers.'”
The story exploded on social media and it serves as an interesting reminder of moral lessons often forgotten in these hostile times.
For one thing, there is Matthew 25:40, in which Jesus tells his followers, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
The stranger could have kept the wallet; he could have pilfered whatever was valuable and returned the rest, hiding behind cover of plausible deniability to say “I found it this way” if asked where the money had gone.
After all, one certainly does not have cause to doubt the idea that someone could’ve happened upon the wallet, taken the valuables and simply left it where he found it.
In addition, the good Samaritan in question is not speaking to the media or using this act of kindness as a steppingstone to try and get famous; he simply did a kind deed for a stranger, as the woman who tweeted the story was quick to point out.

We know the guy’s name is Charles. We also can presume he’s a Colts fan. That would seem to be as far as the guy is letting us in to know more about him.
There’s a moral lesson oft-forgotten in that as well.
Specifically, Matthew 6:1: “Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.”
Who knew a wallet could reveal a moral paragon?
Luck is coming back from a shoulder injury. Reports are that he has no pain in his throwing shoulder, but there is still a lot of rust he needs to shake off as training camp approaches.

But at least he won’t have to wait in line forever and an age at the DMV to replace his license, nor will he be on the phone constantly to credit card issuers, merchants and everyone else represented by the “in case this card is lost or stolen” numbers on the sorts of things that go into wallets.
All because of a humble fan doing a good deed who earned a well-deserved reward.
