FLASHBACK: The 5 Times Bernie BURNED Hillary Before Finally Endorsing Her

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton Tuesday, making it obvious that she would indeed become the Democrat presidential nominee.

“She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States,” Sanders announced at the rally.

Although it may seem as if Sanders truly supported Clinton, the truth might be a little different. Does Bernie really want Hillary to become president?

Townhall documented five statements that Sanders had previously made about how Clinton would be bad news for the country.

“I don’t believe that she is qualified if she is … taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds,” he said at a Sanders rally in April 2016. “I don’t think you are qualified if you get $15 million from Wall Street through your super PAC.”

Later, at a Democrat debate in New York, he said that Clinton had bad judgment:

“Let’s talk about judgment. And let us talk about the worst foreign policy blunder in the modern history of this country. I led the opposition to that war. Secretary Clinton voted for it. Let’s talk about judgment.”

Again, at another Democrat debate in New York: “Oh my goodness, (the big banks) must have been really crushed by this. Was that before or after you received huge sums of money by giving speaking engagements?”

In a more recent interview in June 2016, Sanders acknowledged the corrupt nature of the Clinton family.

“Do I have a problem when a sitting secretary of state and a foundation run by her husband collects many, many dollars from foreign governments — governments which are dictatorships?” he asked. “Yeah, I do have a problem with that. Yeah, I do.”

And finally, in March 2016, Sanders explained that Hillary Clinton funded her campaign by using big names and celebrity status.

“It is obscene that Secretary Clinton keeps going to big money people to fund her campaign,” he said. “But it’s not only this Clooney event, it is the fact that she has now raised well over $15 million from Wall Street for her super PAC and millions more from the fossil fuel industry and from the drug companies.”

Do those sound like the words of a Hillary Clinton supporter to you?
