Antifa Says Time for Direct Confrontation, Worse They Say 'Bring...Guns'

Share

If you listen to how leftists talk, you would think there are roving bands of armed and violent conservatives wreaking havoc on city streets all across America in an effort to impose some sort of fascist order on society.

Except, it isn’t conservatives who fill the ranks of those violent and destructive groups, but rather the black-clad members of Antifa — a loosely organized conglomeration of far-leftists who espouse an odd mix of anarchy and Marxism to supposedly fight against fascism … while using fascist tactics against their enemies.

There are a few right-leaning groups that have stepped up in response to Antifa’s violence and are more than ready to spar with them on the streets, but that opposition seems to have only served to prompt Antifa to up the ante in their efforts.

Two of those right-leaning groups — Patriot Prayer and the Proud Boys — have planned a rally in support of President Donald Trump in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, August 4, but it looks like they will be met with violent resistance from Antifa and other left-leaning groups.

According to a pro-Antifa website called It’s Going Down, a coalition of leftist groups known as Pop Mob, along with Rose City Antifa, will be taking to the streets of Portland the same day in direct opposition to those they deem as their fascist enemies.

“The goal of our action on August 4th is to show that the community will not allow violent nationalist opportunists to threaten our city and target our people,” said a spokesperson for RCA. “We will overwhelm them both by force of numbers and commitment to defending our community. Whatever it takes, we won’t allow Patriot Prayer’s political violence to become the new status quo in this country.”

“Without direct confrontation, PP and other white nationalist groups will feel entitled to threaten people wherever and whenever they like,” the member of Antifa continued. “First they target antifascists and anti-ICE activists, then they target Pride, marginalized community spaces, minorities, and migrants.”

Previous altercations between these groups have somewhat resembled medieval melee combat, as participants clashed with blunt objects and sticks while wearing makeshift armor.

The next fight could take on a more modern look.

Are you worried that Antifa won't stop until somebody ends up dead?

Independent investigative journalist Tim Pool checked out some discussion of the upcoming August 4 event on a Reddit thread and found that some of the leftists of Antifa were talking about arming themselves with firearms in anticipation of a violent clash.

Pool tweeted, “August 4th in Portland is already sounding like it is going to get really bad. Activists call for bringing guns in preparation for escalation.”

It is unclear if the individuals on Reddit making the remarks about bringing guns are local to the Portland area or are even planning on attending the Antifa counter-rally, but the injection of firearms into the mix is concerning nonetheless.

Potentially deadly weapons like knives and sharpened sticks have been recovered from Antifa rioters at previous clashes, and many individuals have been injured in the brawls that have broken out, but nobody has been shot yet.

Hopefully, the notion of bringing guns to the August 4 event is just meaningless talk and not truly indicative of Antifa’s intention to escalate the combat into deadly gunfire.

However, in light of the possibility of violent escalation, ask yourself one thing: Who do you think will be blamed by the liberal media if such a horrible escalation does occur and somebody on either side ends up shot and killed?

Odds are, it won’t be the anonymous, black-clad, intolerant and violent leftists bent on imposing their will through whatever means necessary.
