Charlie Daniels Excoriates Cuomo Over Disturbing NY Abortion Law: 'Satan Is Smiling'

Share

Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently signed into law a horrifying pro-abortion bill that was deceptively named the Reproductive Health Act of 2019, which for all intents and purposes legalized abortions up until the last moment prior to the delivery of a fully-formed baby in the ninth month of a pregnancy.

While the law — which can be read in its entirety right here — nominally imposed a 24-week limit on the right of women in the state to obtain an abortion, it provided an exception for the undefined “health” risks of the mother, removed the term “abortion” from all penal codes and redefined a “person” as “a human being who has been born and is alive.”

In other words, the New York state legislature and Gov. Cuomo just denied “personhood” to unborn babies who had yet to take a breath on their own, and made it to where it was no longer a crime of any kind for anyone in the state to kill an unborn baby.

Needless to say, the heartbreaking consequences of this horrendous — some would say downright evil — law that essentially decriminalized the murder of unborn babies up until the moment of birth has received an incredible amount of anguished and heartfelt criticism from pro-life individuals, including country music superstar Charlie Daniels, who took to Twitter to let his feelings about this atrocity be known to all.

Daniels tweeted on Saturday, “Watch the wrinkles on Cuomo’s face lengthen as the ramifications of the thousands of murders he has sanctioned come to bear on him.”

“The NY legislature has created a new Auschwitz dedicated to the execution of a whole segment of defenseless citizens. Satan is smiling,” added Daniels.

As noted, Daniels is certainly not alone in his grievous opposition to this murderous new law in New York. Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire noted just how gruesome late-term abortions truly are, and detailed the how that procedure involves injecting lethal poison into the unborn baby to painfully kill the unborn baby over the course of a day or two, only to then have the mother deliver the now-dead infant body.

Do you agree with Daniels on this?

Ironically, while Cuomo and New York Democrats are perfectly OK with using lethal injection to murder innocent unborn babies, they stand adamantly opposed to using the exact same method to kill convicted murderers sentenced to death.

Similarly, a former U.S Army doctor with over 25 years of medical experience who has delivered more than 2,500 babies as an OB-GYN, explained in a post to social media that there was literally no reason to abort a baby in the third trimester — risks to the mother’s “health” or not — due to the simple fact that unwanted babies could be delivered and survive during that late stage of a pregnancy.

To be sure, Daniels’ reference to Auschwitz — arguably the worst Nazi-run prison and death camp in German-occupied Poland during World War II, in which more than a million prisoners were executed, most of whom were Jews — was bound to raise some eyebrows, but it is a rather apt comparison, to say the least.

CNS News noted that one of the key methods by which the Nazis were able to perpetrate their genocidal horrors against Jews and other “undesirables” — such as the disabled and mentally ill, gypsies and other “garbage people” — was to redefine such individuals as sub-human and deny them the normal rights associated with personhood.

It has been estimated that the Nazis murdered more than 18 million people in concentration camps like Auschwitz during their reign of terror, and while the six million Jews exterminated by the Nazis tend to garner most of the attention, included in the other 12 million killed were a substantial number of other “sub-human” “enemies,” including Catholic priests, nuns, Jehovah’s Witnesses and other devout believers of the Christian faith.

The unmitigated evil that were the Nazi death camps like Auschwitz and the habit of Nazis to redefine personhood to exclude those they wished to exterminate is now matched by this new law in New York.

To borrow and expound upon the closing phrase from Daniels’ tweet, Satan is indeed smiling at the fact that New York Democrats are doing his job for him, snuffing out the lives of innocent unborn babies for any or no real reason at all.

This awful new law in New York allowing abortions up until the moment of birth, allowing any sort of “health practitioner” to perform the deadly procedure instead of an actual licensed doctor, and denying personhood and the protections of the law for the rights of the unborn is sadistically evil, and we weep at the untold number of innocent beings who will be purged from existence prior to even taking their first breath because of it.

We have added language to clarify that Auschwitz was operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland. Our original wording did not mention that Poland was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II, which could have led some readers to think — or to believe that The Western Journal thinks — that Poland was a Nazi country during the war. We apologize for any confusion we might have caused. — Ed. note
