Hollywood Actress Makes Bizarre Promise Until Police 'Stop Killing Black People'
I’m not even sure where to begin with perhaps the most bizarre form of virtue signaling I’ve ever heard of.
Tiffany Haddish, star of some criminally unfunny movies like “Night School,” is protesting police brutality.
So far, my brain can wrap around this. After all, Haddish’s social commentary is perfectly in line with many of her fellow leftists and Hollywood peers.
Never mind that the overwhelming majority of police officers are good and brave people who risk their lives to protect the people of this country, compared with perhaps a bad apple or two among them.
Nope, it’s unsurprising for Haddish to blindly bash police officers.
But to combat this supposed scourge of racially charged police brutality, Haddish has … an interesting form of protest.
Haddish revealed on Instagram that she will now wear fur every day to protest police brutality.

Let me speak on behalf of everyone and just say … huh?
According to the 39-year-old actress and comedian, she was gifted a fur coat by a fan. That somehow sparked her social justice impulses.
“I’mma wear (the fur) as much as possible,” Haddish said on Instagram, “because I don’t know if you guys know this about me, but I’m about to start protesting.”
Haddish’s video went from stupid to sickening as soon as the topic of police officers was broached.
“I’mma wear fur every day until they stop killing black people. When the police stop killing black people, I’ll stop wearing fur,” Haddish said.
I honestly couldn’t even begin to tell you how or why wearing fur speaks out against police brutality. To be fair, it’s certainly preferable to people kneeling during the national anthem, but it still doesn’t make sense.
Haddish acknowledged in the video that she might face a backlash from PETA. If there is a silver lining in all of this, it’ll be when the leftists start attacking each other.
“It’s my new protest. So sorry, PETA! Don’t be mad at me. Be mad at the police. When they stop killing black people, I’ll stop wearing fur. … Because people are important, and so are the animals,” Haddish said at the end of the video.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, rap producer and vegan Russell Simmons was none too pleased with Haddish’s form of protest.
“White supremacy is a disease that takes on many forms and has many symptoms,” Simmons posted to the comments of Haddish’s video. “The abuse of other beings will not address that … or heal ourselves. I love you Tiffany but I wish you would reconsider this route of protest.”
There’s a part of me that isn’t quite sure if Haddish is pulling a fast one with the absurdity of her video and post. After all, who knows what passes for comedy and satire in this day and age? Simmons obviously took it seriously enough to call Haddish out on it.
But even if Haddish is saying all of this in a joking manner, the narrative she’s pushing about police officers primarily killing black people is dangerous rhetoric to peddle.
And based on the TMZ report that people were walking out of Haddish’s New Year’s Eve comedy show in the middle of it, she might want to reconsider her routine. All of it.
