Dad Learns Tiny Daughter's Ballet Routine To Help Her Backstage When She Forgets

Share

Devoted dads make this planet a better place. The way a dedicated father treats his daughter can be especially encouraging to behold.

After all, these loving patriarchs are the first male role models their little girls ever meet. So it’s no exaggeration to say this fundamental relationship can equip and inspire females to take on the world.

Fatherhood certainly demands sacrifices of all different sizes. Some are painful, many are enriching, and a few can make a guy look downright silly.

But to a dad who’s truly in his daughter’s corner, it doesn’t matter in the slightest. Just ask Acers Gill.

You might say this Lexington, Kentucky father was personally invested in his two-year-old daughter’s dance recital success. He wanted her to feel confident, reassured, and empowered — so she’d remember every charming bow and pirouette.

That’s why he learned the whole routine himself. Then he stood behind the backstage curtain, just a few feet away from his trusting tot, and danced right along with her.

Naturally, when you’re a tiny tyke in a tutu, gazing out across a crowded gathering of strangers can feel utterly overwhelming. So it’s pretty easy to forget a few of your steps.

But this little prima ballerina didn’t have to worry at all, because each time she needed some visual guidance, she’d simply glance over at Dad.

At least one person who attended the Kiddie Kapers & Company Dance Program recital thought this was absolutely adorable. That individual captured a short video, which shows the pint-sized performer mimicking her father’s moves.

The snippet was shared by Facebook user Jennifer Michelle Gaines. To date, it’s received more than one million views and almost seven thousand shares.

It’s also earned an abundance of admiring comments, from all across the world.

“Sweetest father,” exclaimed Lyra Spratt Manning; and Modesty Nelson wholeheartedly agreed, “The best dad ever.”
