Fake News: CNN Calls Governor in Racist Photo Scandal a Republican

Share

Liberals desperately want to disassociate themselves from the governor of Virginia after his spate of controversies this week, even if it means resorting to fake news.

Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has had a disgraceful week, and now he’s rightfully being attacked from all sides.

On Friday, a photo was released from the governor’s medical school yearbook in 1984 depicting a man wearing blackface next to someone in a Ku Klux Klan outfit.

Northam initially admitted being one of the men and even apologized, but is now backtracking, according to The New York Times.

Northam was widely criticized, even from fellow Democrats, for the picture..

This is the kind of story that liberal outlets wouldn’t want to report on, but it’s too big of a controversy to push under the rug.

While reporting on Northam’s apology, CNN referred to the governor as a Republican by giving him an “R” next to his name.

Does CNN skew its coverage to hurt Republicans?

As anyone who follows politics knows — and that presumably includes the crack staff at CNN — Northam is a Democrat, not a Republican.

This could have been a mistake from CNN, but it’s a pretty monumental mistake.

CNN host Anderson Cooper had correctly referred to the governor as a Democrat during the segment, according to Fox News, but that doesn’t erase the impact of the mistake.

Some people will likely believe Northam is a Republican because of CNN’s fake news.

The liberal outlet’s fake news will only further push the false narrative that Republicans are “bigoted,” but it’s actually a Democratic governor who is the “racist” in question.

It’s convenient for the liberal cause that CNN’s “mistake” in calling him a Republican came at a low point in Northam’s career.

The governor kicked off his week of shame on Wednesday morning by hinting at infanticide during an interview on WTOP.

The governor was defending a bill proposed by Virginia Democrats that would legalize late-term abortions, and Northam implied babies could be aborted after birth.

The governor was quickly condemned by Republicans, but Democrats didn’t come out against him until controversy arose over the yearbook photos.

Sorry, CNN, but the racist, infanticide-supporting governor belongs to your side.
