Journalist Cliff Sims recently wrote about a pretty amazing story featuring a Mississippi man discovering a heartfelt note left by his late wife.
The two had been married for more than 60 years, but sadly, she passed away in Jan. 2015, at the age of 83.

A short time after her passing, Jimmy Breland found this note from his late wife Billie hidden in their checkbook.
“Please don’t cry because I died! Smile because I lived! Know that I’m in a happy place! Know that we will meet again! I’ll see you there!”
Perhaps the most interesting part of this story is that Jimmy and Billie are the grandparents of Cliff Sims, the author who originally wrote the piece about this amazing couple on Yellow Hammer.

Sims shared the note on Facebook where it has gathered over 4,000 “likes” and nearly 2,000 shares.
“My Mimi passed away this week, but left this in her checkbook for my Grandaddy to find,” he wrote. “They were married over 60 years. Wow.”
It’s hard to imagine what life would be like after losing your best friend of sixty years. But somehow, Billie knew just what Cliff would need to lift his spirits after her passing.
A way to let him know that she was “okay” and that they would be together again one day.

What a beautiful testament of faith and love.
