McConnell: In New Report FBI Couldn't Corroborate Single Allegation Against Kavanaugh

Share

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delivered some bad news for the Democrats on Thursday.

Senators have had a chance to read the FBI’s report on Christine Blasey Ford’s accusation of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

It looks like the FBI investigation, which Democrats demanded, backfired on them and Republicans are showing more confidence than ever in Kavanaugh.

After reading the FBI report, McConnell told the media that the report “did not corroborate any of the allegations.”

“What we know for sure is the FBI report did not corroborate any of the allegations against Judge Kavanaugh,” he said.

This shouldn’t be surprising to anybody who has kept up with the case.

The only “evidence” to potentially corroborate Ford’s 35-year-old story would come from witness interviews.

All four people, including Kavanaugh, who were allegedly present at the party in Ford’s story have denied the allegations.

Was McConnell right?

One of the witnesses was Ford’s own friend, Leland Keyser, who has stated that she doesn’t even know Kavanaugh.

Of course, Democrats don’t actually care about the results of the investigation unless it fits their agenda.

“And the second thing we know for sure is that there’s no way anything we did would satisfy the Democrats,” McConnell said.

Democrats have already moved on to their next criticism of Kavanaugh. This time, they are calling him “partisan” for defending himself against sexual assault accusations.

“Brett Kavanaugh was chosen because he’s a partisan warrior, and he blatantly displayed that during his confirmation hearing. And then he complained when there was resistance to his nomination,” former chairperson for the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile, said.

Did Brazile expect Kavanaugh to simply accept the sexual assault accusations and ignore the Democratic senators who created a smear campaign against him?

Other Democrats like Sen. Dianne Feinstein have been demanding an investigation into all of the allegations against Kavanaugh.

It would be pointless to give the time of day to every single ludicrous allegation made against Kavanaugh. It was already revealed that one allegation was completely made up by an anti-Trump lunatic.

McConnell was right. Whiny Democrats are moving the goalposts now that they’ve found out Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh have no corroboration.
