MSNBC Matthews Loses It, Says GOP Attacks Pelosi Because She's "Ethnic"
If you want to know why I fervently believe MSNBC host Chris Matthews’ show “Hardball” should be renamed to “Hardhead,” then please let me point you to Exhibit A: On Monday the hardheaded host accused Republicans of picking on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi because of her ethnicity.
“Picking on somebody from one of the coasts, usually ethnic, and making them the poster person of the Democratic Party is old business for the Republicans,” he said regarding the GOP’s recent criticism of Pelosi, according to Breitbart.
“They did it with Bella Abzug from the west side of New York City. They did it to Tip O’Neill. They did it to Teddy Kennedy. Now, they’re doing it after Nancy Pelosi. They love to get an ethnic sort of person from one of the coasts and make them the bad person,” he added.

First of all, Merriam-Webster defines “ethnic” as “of, relating to, or characteristic of a minority ethnic group.” For instance, your humble contributor is “ethnic” because his parents were born and raised in India.
Pelosi, on the other hand, “is white and was born in the United States,” as noted by The Daily Caller — as well as anyone with functioning eyes.
Plus, and more importantly, politicians have been feuding since practically the beginning of America. Take the election of 1800, which the The Lehrman Institute describes as “the nastiest” election in American history:
“The race between Federalist John Adams and Republican Thomas Jefferson was raucous, bitter, and unpredictable. Historian David McCullough wrote that according to the opposing campaigns, ‘if Jefferson was a Jacobin, a shameless southern libertine, and a ‘howling’ atheist, Adams was a Tory, a vain Yankee scold, and, if truth be known, ‘quite mad.””
And just as race and ethnicity had nothing to do with these feuds back then, they have nothing to do with the feuds currently brewing.
The current feud centers around the tax reform bill President Donald Trump signed into law last year. Though the bill cut taxes for 90 percent of Americans and spurred businesses into doling out bonuses to their employees, Pelosi has been insistent that it’s nothing more than a handout to the rich and wealthy.
Republicans, including the president, have seized on her idiotic remarks — including the assertion that the tax bill is worse than slavery — to paint her and her Democrat allies as out-of-touch elitists.
“Nancy Pelosi again said that’s ‘crumbs'” the president said during a speech Monday at a factory in Ohio, referencing claims by her that the bonuses being given by businesses amount to mere “crumbs,” as reported by The Daily Wire.
“Well, she’s a rich woman who lives in a big, beautiful house in California who wants to give all of your money away.”
And according to Matthews, criticism like this isn’t rooted in the fact that Pelosi is a complete idiot but rather in her ethnicity …
