New Rep. Racist: Whites in My State Are Uneducated

Share

A newly elected Democrat in Tennessee’s state legislature, London Lamar, made extremely racist comments targeted at white people on a Facebook live video last week.

In the video, Lamar pushed several stereotypes about white Southerners and blatantly said, “Tennessee is racist.”

“Let’s just call a spade a spade. Tennessee is racist. Period,” Lamar said.

Lamar went on to say white men “believe in superiority.”

“White men voted Republican well over 60 to 70 percent. Obviously, that’s a particular base of people who believe in superiority,” Lamar said.

The video has been deleted from Lamar’s own page, but not before it was picked up by news sites, as well as internet users who thought it shouldn’t disappear down the memory holes.

Check it out here:

Lamar continued her racist rant by calling Tennessee Republicans “uneducated.”

Should Tennessee residents condemn Lamar's comments?

“Most of the Tennesseans who voted Republican are uneducated. So, they don’t even know that they showed up to the polls to vote against their own interest. They literally voted on color lines,” Lamar said.

That’s an absurdly racist thing to say. It sounds exactly racist rhetoric that was used against black people in the past.

Lamar apologized — in a way — for her comments in a new Facebook post on Monday, but it was clear it wasn’t exactly heartfelt.

“What was called a rant is actually a statistical analysis of the midterm elections based on my numerous years of political experience,” she wrote.

Calling a group of people “uneducated” because they voted for Republicans isn’t exactly a “statistical analysis.” It’s just racism.

“My comments did not intend to make a generalization about every white person who voted Republican,” she continued.

It’s obvious that she was intentionally making racist generalizations. She said, “Tennessee is racist. Period.” That’s a pretty definitive statement.

After giving a weak defense of her racist comments, she went on to apologize for her “mistake.”

“In my video I made one mistake and that was an overgeneralization of white people and for that I sincerely apologize,” she wrote.

Lamar probably thought nothing of her comments when she made the video because racism has become commonplace among the left.

Recently, there have been too many instances of people on the left targeting white people, black conservatives, and Christians.

Lamar’s racist rant further proves that the left is full of hatred.

If any more was needed.
