Trump Gets It; Tim Kaine Does Not: Our Rights Come from God, Not Government

President Donald Trump understands a truth that Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia clearly does not: Our rights originate with God, not government.

The Democratic senator went so far as to liken this foundational truth regarding the American experiment in liberty to Sharia law.

Kaine made the remarks during a confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday for Riley Barnes, Trump’s nominee to serve as Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.
