New Report Shows Brilliant Trump Plan to Get Embassy to Jerusalem Even Faster
Not long after President Donald Trump announced that the United States would be officially recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the former business mogul has a new plan to get the embassy there even faster.
Last month, Trump declared that the United States recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel — the first president to do so — and said the U.S. would be moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
While the U.S. State Department and others predicted the move could take several years to complete, Trump has unveiled a brilliant new plan to accelerate the process.
According to The Times of Israel, the Trump administration has decided to convert an existing consular building in West Jerusalem into the new U.S. embassy.
Rather than spend years and millions of dollars on creating a new facility, the former businessman has unveiled new plans to speed up the embassy process by renovating a building and land already in Jerusalem.
The Trump administration has revealed that it anticipates the new embassy being completed by the end of 2019, according to The New York Times.
The Arnona building, where the new embassy will be, is near the Green Line in West Jerusalem, which marked Israel’s borders from 1949 until the Six Day War of 1967.
In recent years, it has served as a hub to provide consular services and travel visas, so it will need to be renovated to accommodate the U.S. ambassador and staff.
The building will also need advanced security measures to ensure classified materials and operations are secure in the event of an attack.
Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem was historic, and the Trump administration’s decision to accelerate the completion of the embassy solidifies the United States commitment to the country’s strongest ally in the Middle East.
For many years, Israel has been a punching bag for globalists and many in the media while they covered for terror-supporting regimes in the Middle East like Iran.
But Trump isn’t afraid of hurting liberals’ feelings in the course of honoring his commitment to the American people that he would recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Israel has learned that it now has a true friend in the White House, and Trump has made it clear that the U.S. stands with Israel.
Despite the media’s leftist narrative of bashing Israel for many years, Trump’s decision to have the U.S. embassy open in Jerusalem as soon as possible shows that his decision was much more than political.
In typical Trump fashion, it is expected to be ahead of schedule and under budget.
