Breaking: FBI Conducts Pre-Dawn Raid in Beverly Hills in Connection to Eric Swalwell Investigation

The FBI raided a California home early Tuesday in what news reports said was part of its investigation into former Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California.

The Beverly Hills raid followed one in August at Swalwell’s D.C. home, according to Fox News.

Earlier this week, the White House’s Government Transparency Task Force released documents concerning an FBI investigation into the former lawmaker’s relationship with Christine “Fang Fang” Fang, a suspected Chinese spy.

Swalwell said he had “physical relations” with Fang on multiple occasions.

Earlier this month, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office sex crimes unit was reportedly mulling whether to charge Swalwell in connection with the alleged rape of Beverly Hills woman Lonna Drewes.

A representative for the unit recently told NBC News that they’re still considering whether to bring charges against the disgraced Democrat.

The county sheriff’s victims’ unit already investigated the case earlier this year and then forwarded their findings to the district attorney’s office on Sept. 21.

Swalwell resigned from Congress after a slew of sexual assault and misconduct allegations were lodged against him by several women, including Drewes.

Drewes, a former model and fashion software company owner, held a news conference at the time accusing the embattled then-lawmaker of drugging, sexually assaulting, and choking her in 2018.

“He raped me and he choked me, and while he was choking me, I lost consciousness and I thought I died,” she said then. “I did not consent to any sexual activity although I did not undergo a rape kit. At the time I disclosed the assault to the people closest to me.”

Swalwell has denied allegations of sexual misconduct.

In August, federal agents confronted Swalwell at San Francisco International Airport and seized his electronic devices.

The Daily Mail reported that agents had a warrant for numerous devices.

The devices reportedly included his cell phone, which was wanted as part of a federal criminal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.

The Department of Justice reportedly opened a federal investigation into the allegations in April.
