Carrie Underwood Has Been Struck by Baby Fever! Wants to Grow Family

Share

Carrie Underwood and her husband — former NHL player Mike Fisher — are looking to expand their family in the near future.

A source close to the couple told Us Magazine that the two are trying to give their son a younger sibling.

The couple’s son, Isaiah, is now 2 years old, and they think it’s time to bring another baby into the world. This wouldn’t come as a surprise to Underwood’s friends and family, though.

“Everyone around her knows she wants a big family, and they’re always trying for another baby,” the source told Us Weekly.

In the past, Underwood had addressed the idea of having another baby. She told Entertainment Tonight that she and her husband weren’t actively trying, but were ready and open.

“We’re on God’s good timing or whatever you might call it,” she said. “I’m just trying to figure out where life’s going to take me next.”

When she first addressed having another baby, she thought her current son might not like it very much. The tot seems to like his status as only child.

“As a matter of fact, if a dog climbs up on my lap, I feel like he gets a little jealous of the dog!” she said.

The source went on to say how strong the couple’s relationship is. They’re in it for life whether they have a new baby or not.

“Carrie and Mike have a great life and a very strong marriage — one that their friends envy,” the source said. “They are completely committed to each other and in it for the long run.”

The news of Underwood’s potential family expansion comes after news that her husband will be returning to the Nashville Predators.

He spent a whole five months in retirement, so he clearly misses the game.

Underwood has largely been out of the public eye in recent months. She suffered a fall in November, breaking her wrist.

A few months later, the singer took to Instagram to tell her fans that she might not look exactly the same. She injured her face in the fall and needed surgery to help her recovery.

The singer also posted about a humorous incident recently, when she was pulled over for speeding for the first time in 18 years. Fortunately, she didn’t get a ticket, but the lesson will sure stick with her.

We eagerly await more information when it comes to Underwood’s new baby. Still, we can’t wait for her to get back out on tour!
