Alleged Anti-GOP Knife Attacker Set for Release by Judge's Outrageous Decision

Share

A left-wing radical is set to be released from county jail on bail after threatening to murder California Republican congressional candidate Rudy Peters.

Peters, who is running against Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell in California’s 15th district, was working at his booth during the Castro Valley Fall Festival on Sunday when he was attacked, according to San Francisco’s KPIX-TV.

Witnesses say a 35-year-old Castro Valley resident, Farzad Fazeli, approached the booth and began making disparaging and profanity-laced comments about the Republican Party and President Donald Trump.

Unhinged rants about Trump are not uncommon among Democrats, but Fazeli allegedly escalated things further by making threats and throwing objects.

“He picks up a coffee cup to rear back and throw it at us. And I jumped around the table. He throws the coffee cup and misses us. It hits the ground and breaks,” Peters told KPIX.

Peters said he was able to wrestle the anti-Trump attacker to the ground. That’s when the attacker pulled out his knife.

Fortunately, he struggled to use it.

“He would have stabbed me,” Peters said, “I mean, he had it out saying, ‘I’m going to kill you MFer! I’m going to kill you!’ I could see his thumb trying to get the knife out.”

Should this maniac remain behind bars?

Alameda County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly said the knife had malfunctioned, according to USA Today.

Fazeli’s lawyer, Frederick Remer, claimed his client was only defending himself when he threatened to murder the Republican GOP candidate.

“My client at this point was afraid for his life and afraid for his health and safety,” Remer claimed.

After the attack, Peters is worried for his own safety and the safety of his Republican supporters.

“I’ve asked my supporters and followers at open events, I don’t want them around me. I don’t want their safety in jeopardy,” he said.

It seems like attacks and threats from unhinged liberals are becoming more common. This Tuesday, another left-wing radical threatened to bring back “bloodstained hats” from a Make America Great Again event at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Given the increased radicalism of the left, it seems like a bad idea to release this monster on bail.

Fazeli’s bail was set at $55,000, and his family already said they intend to bail him out.

The attacker has a stay-away order from Peters, but what good will that do if he truly wants to cause harm to the candidate? If he was willing to risk going to jail to attack somebody before, he is clearly capable of doing the same thing again.

The judge made a mistake. This left-wing attacker needs to stay locked up before he attacks anyone else.
