Watch: Ocasio-Cortez Caught Trying To Politically Weaponize Children To 'Bring Down' Trump

Share

Any sensible adult should be able to recognize that socialism simply doesn’t work on a large scale.

So what are socialists to do when common logic refutes the very premise they desperately want to peddle?

Find the easiest audience around to convince, of course, even if it is made up of the under-12 set.

In fairness, considering how easily children will believe in things like the Tooth Fairy, it’s actually not the worst idea. But that doesn’t make it any less alarming.

Case in point, New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the self-declared “democratic socialist,” recently visited children in Corona, Queens, to tout the her cause.

“I’m the Democratic nominee out here for Congress so I’m going to go to D.C., and we’re going to be fighting Trump,” Ocasio-Cortez told the kids.

Pathetically, the anti-Trump rhetoric didn’t end there.

“This is what we need to do: When you go back home, you talk to your mom, your dad, your aunt, grandma, sisters, anybody over the age of 18 that can vote — first you need to ask your parents to vote because if they don’t vote, then we can’t kick out Trump,” she added.

Are candidates like Ocasio-Cortez the real future of the Democrat Party?

“We can’t kick out Trump”? There is so much to deconstruct in that short phrase and none of it’s good.

First, the politicization of children is despicable. They’re kids. They should be more concerned with who they’re going to play “Fortnite” with or what movie to go see with friends.

Similar sentiments were echoed on Twitter.

Second, the kids seemed wildly enthusiastic over the anti-Trump bombast. That, in and of itself, is a sad development, because you know that Ocasio-Cortez wasn’t the one to actually shape their minds. It’s the parents, the schools and far-left media that have already gotten to these youths.

Third, the exploitation of these children really is reprehensible. It also speaks volumes about just how desperate socialists really are.

As mentioned earlier, any reasonably thinking adult knows that socialism doesn’t work. It hasn’t worked through history. When dealing with millions of people, the idea of the government providing everything simply isn’t feasible or sustainable.

There’s a lot wrong with socialists, and Ocasio-Cortez is the shining example of it.

Pushing a horrible and ineffective political ideology like socialism on adults is annoying and offensive.

Pushing that political ideology on children is simply despicable.
