Bride Uses Sign Language To Express Love at Altar to Deaf Husband
Getting married is the ultimate symbol of love for any couple. For this bride and groom, it was a moment that they would never forget.
One might say that this Itatiba, Brazil, couple were a match made in heaven, as they were both there for each other when they needed it the most.
Juliana Navarro, who at 35 had never had a boyfriend, was struggling in her own life when she received a random text from Jóse one day. She had lost her father and never thought that anyone would want to marry her, according to StoryTrender.
Jóse, who at 45 had also never had a partner, reached out to Juliana asking if she needed someone to talk to. A mutual friend had told Jóse that Juliana needed a shoulder to lean on and he was quick to provide it to her.
“I was sitting at home alone in February this year thinking some really dreadful thoughts, while everyone was out enjoying the annual carnival,” Juliana told StoryTrender.
“Suddenly this message popped up on my phone out of the blue. When I read it, I knew it had to be a good sign,” she continued.
Juliana and Jóse soon started a relationship that would rival most. Within seven months, the couple ended up at the altar to become husband and wife.
As Juliana took to the altar to exchange her vows with Jóse, she had a little surprise up her sleeve that would make him melt in the most heartwarming of ways.
Jóse is deaf, and Juliana wanted to express her love in a way that he would truly understand how she felt about him. She learned sign language and signed one of her favorite songs to show him exactly how she felt.
Julianna signed the lyrics to “Que Bom Que Você Chegou” (So Good You Came) by gospel singer Bruna Karla. This was a song that meant a great deal to her as the words mention romantic lyrics such as; a “gift sent from God” and “I feel so loved simply for who I am.”
“I chose this music because every word said exactly how I felt about the man who is the first and only love of my life,” Julianna said.
“I practiced secretly at home to make sure my hand expressions were full of the all emotions I felt for him,” she added.
Jóse was moved to tears and lovingly kissed Julianna on her forehead to show her how much he appreciated her kind and loving performance.
While Juliana surprised Jóse by learning sign language, he also surprised her by being there to love her when she needed it the most. He saved her life, and she wanted to repay him as best she could.
The happy couple exchanged vows on Sept. 1 and celebrated with some dancing and fun.
