Teenager Breaks Down in Tears When Dad Surprises Her with Tiny Pet Pig: 'Oh My Baby'

Share

What did you want more than anything in the world when you were 18 years old?

Most people probably wouldn’t have asked for a pig, but that’s exactly the gift one teenager in Rockledge, Florida, received from her dad — and the response did not disappoint.

Jade Parr captured a video of the sweet moment her dad came home with a surprise for her sister, Jewel.

“She has been asking for a pig since she was about 5,” Parr told The Western Journal. “And he happened to be in the right place at the right time and decided to surprise her with a baby pig.”

In the video, Parr’s father walks up to where both girls are waiting in a car, with the little piggy tucked under his shirt. Pulling the pig out, he gently sets it on the teenager’s lap.

Immediately, she bursts into tears.

“Oh my baby,” the girls’ father said when he realized Jewel was crying.

“You’re going to make me cry!” he added, giving her a kiss on the forehead. Squeals of joy were heard from both the piglet and the teen.

“I wasn’t surprised that she cried,” Jade Parr said. “I knew she was going to cry a little bit but I didn’t know she was going to cry THAT much.”

“I was hysterically laughing and both of my parents started crying a little bit when they saw my sister’s reaction.”

Parr told The Western Journal that she knew about the surprise pig about 10 minutes before her dad gave it to Jewel, and she was ready to capture the adorable moment on camera.

The video immediately warmed hearts after Parr posted it on Twitter, and has since been viewed over nine million times. Jewel’s heartfelt reaction to her present had people gushing over the adorable pair.

The pig, officially named “Juju,” has been settling into her new home nicely ever since her arrival.

“It’s been good, she’s been getting along with my dog,” Parr said. “She wants to be out of her pen all the time and playing with everyone.”
