Christian Comedian John Crist Explains Car Horn Etiquette in Hilarious Video

Share

Everyone loves a good laugh, and who better to tickle that funny bone than Christian comedian John Crist?

Crist is known for his sarcasm and telling it “the way it is.” He’s real, he’s authentic and we just can’t get enough of his humor.

The man is a “viral sensation,” to put it in his website’s words. According to his bio, when asked where he comes up with his jokes, Crist said, “My dad is a pastor, and I was the third of eight homeschooled children. Coming from a background like that, how do you NOT write jokes?!”

Whether he’s talking about dating in church or reading church reviews online, it seems nothing is off limits when it comes to good-humored jokes about religion — and Chick-fil-A.

Now Crist has uploaded a new video that has gone viral. With over 520K views as of Saturday morning, this one’s sure to split your sides.

In the video, “John Crist Explains Horn Etiquette,” the comedian proceeds to share the proper time and place to honk — or not honk — your car horn.

Crist categorizes the honks by number and length. The result is hilarious. There’s a single short honk, two short honks, and so on.

“Two medium-length honks,” he says. “Oh, that is serious! That’s like the mom waiting in the garage when the kids are trying to get ready for church and we’re ready to go. It’s like, ‘Don’t make me get to three honks!'”

Do you agree with this horn etiquette?

This guy is too much! I certainly related to the scenarios he talked about. The best part was when he got to the three honk situation.

“It’s not life-threatening,” he says. “But somebody is gonna be held accountable for their actions.” Preach it!

He even invites viewers to post their scenarios in the comments and promises to offer the “exact time and length to use your car horns.”

Some of the comments are just as funny as the comedian himself. “If you drive a Honda Civic or something in the same range, don’t even dare to honk, that noise it makes just makes me laugh,” one person wrote.

Crist replied with a straightforward, “Facts.” I don’t drive a Honda Civic, but if I ever do I’ll be sure not to honk the funny-sounding horn.

Crist is currently on his “The Human Being” tour. For tour dates or more information on how you can catch Crist in your area, check out his Facebook events page.
