LeBron James: "I Mean Too Much to Society to Not Share My Political Views"

Share

Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player LeBron James, a liberal loudmouth who yaps a lot yet rarely says anything meaningful and substantive, has again demonstrated why what he says or claims should always be taken with an entire shaker of salt.

During an interview with the media this weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center, he responded to criticism from conservatives who believe he and other NBA players should “shut up” (regarding politics) by arrogantly proclaiming that he “mean(s) too much to society” to be quiet.

“We will definitely not shut up and dribble. I will definitely not do that. I mean too much to society, I mean too much to the youth, I mean too much to so many kids that feel like they don’t have a way out and they need someone to help lead them out of the situation they’re in,” he said, as reported by The Washington Post.

While I grant that many impressionable kids look up to James, the problem is that the guy is a complete idiot who barely knows anything, including basic grammar.

Here’s just one example: During a news briefing last year, James trashed those who voted for President Donald Trump during the 2016 election as “uneducated,” though ironically enough, the way he expressed this erroneous belief helped expose his own lack of basic education.

“At the end of the day, I don’t think a lot of people was educated,” he specifically said, according to The Daily Wire. “And I think that’s one of the biggest problems that we have. When it becomes vote time, people are just not educated on either the individual or what’s going on in the state of the world right now.”

FYI, despite being an allegedly “uneducated” supporter of President Donald Trump — one with a college degree, I might add — I know enough to realize that the “was” should have been a “were.”

Grammar aside, James has a track record for spouting pure nonsense, including the recent claim that the president does not “give a f*** about the people.”

Was Laura Ingraham right about LeBron James?

Responding to this outrageous and unequivocally false assertion last Thursday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham blasted the NBA star for “ignorant comments” and urged him to “shut up.”

“(I)t’s always unwise to get political advice from someone gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball,” she said. “Oh, LeBron and Kevin (Durant), you’re great players, but no one voted for you. Millions elected Trump to be their coach. So, keep the political commentary to yourself, or as someone once said, shut up and dribble.”

Though Ingraham later got blasted for this truth bomb, she was right.

Frankly, LeBron James doesn’t have a clue about politics (let alone anything else), which is why it would behoove both him and the impressionable kids who trust his wisdom (or clear-cut lack thereof) to follow Ingraham’s instructions and just “shut up” already.
